Christine Flavell - Member of the New Zealand Association of Registered Beauty Therapists Inc.

My interest in beauty therapy began in 1979 when I started to train at the New Zealand College of Beauty Therapy in Auckland. Back then, it was by no means common to have a beauty therapist just around the corner.

I worked in a salon for a few months before wanting to travel. In 1986 I opened my first business in Auckland and continued to work part time whilst having my children.

In 1990 I started teaching all beauty therapy aspects and specialising in Anatomy, Physiology, and Sciences . In 1996 we decided to move as a family to Tauranga. Here I began part time tutoring in many subjects in beauty therapy.

After many years tutoring it was time for some new knowledge in IPL, and I trained in Melbourne with Trudy Flemming. This course was beauty therapy on a new level, using all my scientific knowledge.

My next step was to go into business for myself helping people with skin issues, scars, rejuvenating their skin, hair removal, and of course relaxation. The tools we have today enable a great variety of treatment options.
